Know About ASMAN

About Asman

Alliance for Saving Mothers and Newborn (ASMAN) is an initiative for effectively driving the use of evidence-based best practices that reduces early maternal and newborn mortality by leveraging technology. This project is being implemented in four districts each of Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Rajasthan covering 81 facilities in total. This will build on the existing Government of India’s (GoI’s) initiatives for improving the intrapartum and immediate postpartum care.

The central goal of ASMAN is to reduce neonatal and maternal mortality through the adoption of key technologies that improve capacity-building and service delivery efforts focused on the provision of quality care during childbirth and the first 48–60 hours after delivery.
